Wiri Wiri Chilli Seeds
Wiri Wiri Chilli Seeds. The Wiri Wiri (C. Chinense) originates from Guyana. A very popular chilli in Guyana and we tend to agree. A super plant to grow. Lovely bushy plants that grow to around 1,2 – 1,5 m in height. These plants yield lots of small round to ovaloid pods that ripen from a light green to brilliant red. These fruity pods are often categorised by growers as being Habanero. While this may be the case, aroma & flavour of these gems is distinctively Scotch Bonnet. There is a fruity, tart – citrus flavour up front, giving way to a delightfully typical Scotch Bonnet flavour. Bannoffee/Caramel flavours permeate the senses. Quite unexpected really. These pods are delightful little fire crackers with an expected heat around 50,000 – 60,000 SHU. A lovely well rounded burn to these chillies. Not just very tasty, but also a great option for those who have milder palates. So if you enjoy Scotch Bonnet flavour, but can’t bear the heat, this is a match made in heaven. Great for saucing, these are also great for drying and will make a super aromatic chilli powder. Fresh, these will add a dash of instant heat to dishes. Don’t be fooled by the size of the fruit. This is a really, really awesome cultivar to grow.

* The container sizes above are sugested sizes that are reasonable and accessible for most growers (taking price, space, ecological/environmental impact into consideration). Not everyone can look at growing in huge containers. If you can justify growing in larger containers - there are no limitations on container sizes. You may however, rather look at growing in soil as an option in these instances. Using large amounts of potting medium will come with ecological/environmental impact, which you may wish to take into consideration.
