West Indies Red Chilli Seeds
West Indies Red Chilli Seeds. The West Indies Red (C. Chinense) is sometimes also called the Caribbean Red. This is a very prolific Habanero variety from the Caribbean (Antigua & Barbados) that is pretty much the run of the mill goto in the Caribbean. It is very similar in our opinion to the Red Savina & Antillaise Caribbean. These plants will grow to a good 60 - 80cm in height producing a really awesome crop of fiery habanero pods. These pods will ripen from green to a deep red colour. Pods are sweet and fruity and super hot. While this variety looks similar to the Red Savina, heat wise - this variety is milder by a smidge clocking in at around 300,000 - 400,000 SHU. These chillies are just perfect for salsa and sauces. A really great grower and producer!

* The container sizes above are sugested sizes that are reasonable and accessible for most growers (taking price, space, ecological/environmental impact into consideration). Not everyone can look at growing in huge containers. If you can justify growing in larger containers - there are no limitations on container sizes. You may however, rather look at growing in soil as an option in these instances. Using large amounts of potting medium will come with ecological/environmental impact, which you may wish to take into consideration.
