Trinidad Scorpion VV7 Chilli Seeds
Trinidad Scorpion VV7 Chilli Seeds. The Trinidad Scorpion VV7 (C. Chinense) was created by CARDI ( Caribbean Agricultural Research & Development Institute) with the catalogue code "VV7". A lesser known cultivar, but one that has been in growing circles for some time. As is the case with most cultivars that we sell, we like to grow a cultivar for a few seasons before releasing seeds to our store. Certainly when checking search results for this cultivar on the web, there are many different colours and shapes that come up for this cultivar. We have embarked on stabilising this cultivar but these must still be considered unstable. We have managed to narrow down the pheno to Bhutlah/Moruga shaped pods. We will continue to grow out this cultivar and hope that we will get more stability in seasons to come. This is a good grower and producer. This plant has achieved very pleasing results for us. Plants can be expected to reach an average 100 - 110cm. Possibly larger given better growing conditions. Pods ripen from a green through orange to a beautiful red colour and have a Moruga like shape to the pods.
The pods from this cultivar are severely hot. Full on brutal Scorpion heat and burn. A long burn. Heat on these has been rated by several respected international tasters as being hotter than the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion. In fact, the flavour profile of these pods is very much like Moruga Scorpions. Sweet, with less of the floral notes associated with most superhots. So, for those of you who do not like the floral flavour profile of superhots, this could be a match made in heaven. The burn on these pods is severe and definitely in the realm of the mighty Moruga. Back of the throat hot coals, and a tongue piercing/ulcerating burn. If you are looking for something superhot hot… this lit us up proper!

* The container sizes above are sugested sizes that are reasonable and accessible for most growers (taking price, space, ecological/environmental impact into consideration). Not everyone can look at growing in huge containers. If you can justify growing in larger containers - there are no limitations on container sizes. You may however, rather look at growing in soil as an option in these instances. Using large amounts of potting medium will come with ecological/environmental impact, which you may wish to take into consideration.
