Trinidad 7Pot Jonah Chilli Seeds
Trinidad 7Pot Jonah Chilli Seeds. The Trinidad 7Pot Jonah can be a little temperamental to germinate and get out of the starting blocks. This could be due to having to provide the correct home growing conditions. Hot and humid! The 7Pots come from the Caribbean - specifically Trinidad. They are right up there with some of the hottest chillies on the planet. This variety has a very unique flavour and superhot burn. While there are many different types of 7Pot chillies, this has to rank as one of the hottest of the lot. Treat this chilli with absolute respect! This chilli is called a Jonah because pods are usually quite big… superhot + big = superhot that's going to kick butt :) You have been warned! Besides the fact that this chilli makes you drool like a rabid dog... generally we recommend it! It is one of the most flavoursome 7 Pods money can buy. Sweet and floral/perfumy, lots of citrus in these pods. Heat wise, these pods are insanely hot - 800,000 - 1,300,000 SHU, depending on growing conditions. The burn on these pods is painful. Hot coals at the back of the throat and an ulcerating burn around the tongue - if eaten whole. But we would not recommend doing that! Rather, eaten chopped up and added to stews and salsas or made into sauce are recommended. These pods are very hot, so a little will go a long way. These pods can also be dried and made into flakes or powder. This gets double thumbs up from us.
Trinidad 7Pot Douglah Chilli Seeds. Its reputation precedes - this is the third hottest if not second hottest chilli in the world. The Douglah comes in a super brown version of the all time favourite 7 Pot chillies. It's also super aromatic and very tasty… BUT EXTREMELY HOT! You have been warned!

* The container sizes above are sugested sizes that are reasonable and accessible for most growers (taking price, space, ecological/environmental impact into consideration). Not everyone can look at growing in huge containers. If you can justify growing in larger containers - there are no limitations on container sizes. You may however, rather look at growing in soil as an option in these instances. Using large amounts of potting medium will come with ecological/environmental impact, which you may wish to take into consideration.
