Sugar Rush Peach Chilli Seeds

Sugar Rush Peach Open Pollinated Chilli Seeds. The Sugar Rush Peach (C. Baccatum) is a really awesome baccatum variety and fast becoming legendary. This variety has been created by master chilli grower Chris Fowler in Wales. A truly wonderful chilli to grow. In our experience this variety germinated and grew well with very little fuss. These seeds are open pollinated. Our plant grew to a height of around a metre, but could quite possibly grow larger if grown in the ground (ours was grown in a 9 litre bag). A typical baccatum plant structure to this variety - bushy with very wispy branches. This variety will definitely benefit from staking as pods tend to weigh down the light branches. A really awesome producer, yielding lots of pods. Pods start early, but the final peach colour change can take a full season. So, start this variety early in the season. Pods are pendulum shaped with narrow shoulders, widening to the tip and ending in a tail of sorts. We also observed a very interesting bleeding calyx on our pods - which is quite unusual. Our pods grew with a perfect likeness to the pheno for this variety. The flesh on the pods is firm and crunchy. Lovely light, crisp, fruity and sweet flavours. Not so much of the cologne flavour so often prominent in baccatums. The heat is medium weighing in at around 15,000 - 30,000 SHU (possibly higher). A really awesome well rounded burn on these pods. A very versatile chilli and well suited to those who are not into the really hot pods. Perfect to used fresh and perfect for drying and turning into a powder. We think this is a really awesome variety and a must grow in our books - it gets a very enthusiastic thumbs up from us!
