Santa Fe Grande

Santa Fe Grande chilli seeds. This is a small to medium Capsicum Annuum variety. It is also known as Guero or Yellow Hot Chilli. The Santa Fe Grande is cultivated in South West USA and has a good crop of conical, off white coloured pods. Pods develop early on in the season, but do take time to ripen from off white to orange and then finally red. This chilli is popular in the US. It is a good grower producing quite a few decent sized conical chilli pods. Chillies can be harvested and used fresh either in their white or orange or red stages. Heat is mild coming in at around 1000 - 2000 SHU. Thick skinned chillies, these pods are crunch and juicy. Great used fresh for salads, slasas or picling. These could also be made into sauce, roasted, added to stews or even stuffed. Flavour is fruity, citrus, peppery with a hint of minerally herbaciousness. The burn from these is mid to back of the throat, with a nice firm lingering burn.
