Purple Pumpkin Chilli
Purple Pumpkin Chilli Seeds. The Pumpkin Chilli (C. Annuum) is a very striking, unusual and pretty variety. A creation from master grower Stefan Van Gelder in the Netherlands. Good germination and growth sees plants reaching in excess of 1m. Typical Annuum plant structure, more vertical than bushy. Pods have a very unique pumpking shape. Pods are facing heaven and start off a striking purple colour, before changing through salmon to orange to red when fully ripe. Pods are crisp and pleasantly sweet & peppery in aroma as well as flavour. Heat is around 5,000 SHU. A gentle full rounded burn. A chilli that definitely ticks all the boxes for looks but also has a place in the kitchen. It gets the thumbs up from us.

* The container sizes above are sugested sizes that are reasonable and accessible for most growers (taking price, space, ecological/environmental impact into consideration). Not everyone can look at growing in huge containers. If you can justify growing in larger containers - there are no limitations on container sizes. You may however, rather look at growing in soil as an option in these instances. Using large amounts of potting medium will come with ecological/environmental impact, which you may wish to take into consideration.
