Naga Jolokia Purple Chilli Seeds. The Naga Jolokia Purple (C. Annuum). Unlike what the name suggests, this plant has nothing to do with the infamous Naga (C. Chinense). This plant is none the less a stunning plant in its own right. A good germinator as can be expected from annuums, this variety is a consistently good grower. This plant has a more delicate, whispy plant structure than is usual for annums with small leaves and dense foliage. Expect this plant to reach about 70cm in height. This plant is absolutely stunning and quite unusual with its purple flowers that are eye catching and very attractive. Pods are downward hanging and very slender cayenne like. Pods are black at first and ripen to red when fully ripened. The heat on these is intense and come in at a respectible 80,000 - 100,000 SHU at an estimate. Flavour is rich, peppery and minerally. A great all round chilli for cooking and making powder as the pods dry very well. All in all a superb chilli to grow!
