Mini Rocoto Brown Chilli Seeds
Mini Rocoto Brown Open Pollinated Chilli Seeds. The Mini Rocoto Brown (C. Pubescens) is a very special Rocoto indeed. A steady grower in our experience, this plant reached around 100cm, but may well grow much larger. Plant structure is very delicate, more wispy than the regular Rocotos. Foliage is smaller and more delicate and the hairy foliage is less obvious on this variety. Stunning purple flowers on these plants that are just amazing. A good producer of oval pods. Some pods are a little more heart shaped. Pods grow to around the size of a R5 coin. Pods ripen from dark green, through russet to a dark brown. Our plants took a full season to ripen - so an early season start is key here. Pods have a medium flesh with a decent amount of seeds. Typical black Rocoto seeds in this variety. Pods are juicy. Flavour is sweet with mineral undertones. We loved the flavour of these pods. Quite unusual. A super tasty snack fresh, but could also be used in sauces. Although given the size of these pods, it would take quite a few to make up quatity. Definitely a very nice variety to grow.

* The container sizes above are sugested sizes that are reasonable and accessible for most growers (taking price, space, ecological/environmental impact into consideration). Not everyone can look at growing in huge containers. If you can justify growing in larger containers - there are no limitations on container sizes. You may however, rather look at growing in soil as an option in these instances. Using large amounts of potting medium will come with ecological/environmental impact, which you may wish to take into consideration.
