Little Elf chilli seeds. The Little Elf (C. Annuum) is a wonderful and very productive chilli plant. This variety germinates and grows well, growing to about 30 - 40cm in height. A compact, bushy plant that will produce hundreds of pods that are teardrop shaped and facing heaven. Pods ripen from a off white colour, to orange and finally red when fully ripe. These small to medium plants do have a lot of ornamental appeal. They are very suitable for container and balcony growing. Pods have a wonderful fruity, minerally aroma that follows through to its flavour. Lovely peppery flavours with mineral undertones. Heat wise, this pepper ranges somehwere from 30,000 to 50,000 SHU. A great little pepper to use in the kitchen that would probably be best suited for Asian and Mediterranian dishes that might need some heat. Pods are thin skinned, so will lend themselves to being dried. These chillies will make a super general purpose chilli powder or chilli flakes.
