Kenya Chilli Seeds. This chilli belongs to the C. Annuum family of plants. Originally believed to be C. Frutescens, but this is definately not the case. This variety germinates and grows well to around 60 - 80cm in height. It is a good producer of cayenne style pods that have a length of roughly 8 - 9cm. Pods eventually change from a grass green to red when fully ripe. We first approached this chilli with some blase attitude, thinking this was just another cayenne style chilli. What an absolute surprise! A good heat on this chilli. The aroma is clean, herbaceous and fruity. The flavour is really fruity upfront. A crisp and juicy chilli that delivers a firm instant burn that has a really awesome lingering peppery burn. This chilli is an absolute must in the garden and would be very versatile in the kitchen. Eaten fresh or used cooked in Asian cuisine - this chilli is champs!
