Jalapeño Conchos

Jalapeño Conchos Chilli Seeds. The Jalapeño Conchos (C. Annuum) is a variety of Jalapeño that grows well to around 40 - 50cm in height. A really good producer this variety and pods are very large. Thick, fleshy large green pods that ripen to red when fully mature. It is recommended to start these early season as they do take quite some time to fully ripen. Being Jalapeño's, these can be eaten when green or red. The pods of this variety are larger than usual and would be well suited for salsas, stuffing and making sauce. A little too big in our opinion for pickling - unless they are chopped and pickled. Green pods have a very herbacious flavour about them and ripe red variants are fruity and sweet. These Jalapeño's are not as hot as the regular varieties. Expect a heat range of around 2,000 - 4,000 SHU. So this is definately a great variety for those who like Jalapeños but just can't handle the heat of the regular varieties (5,000 - 8,000 SHU). All round a really awesome Jalapeño variety to try.
