Hot Paper Lantern Chilli Seeds
Hot Paper Lantern chilli seeds. The Hot Paper Lantern (C. Chinense) belongs to the Habanero stable of chillies. A very unique and unusual habanero. The name comes from it's red pointy pendant shaped pods that look like lanterns. This is a medium with an equally unusual plant appearance. Really a very compact and beautiful structure to these plants. leaves are uncharacteristically C. Chinense with leaves that appear slightly fuzzy and more mat as a result - as opposed to the usual waxy appearance of C. Chinense leaves. A good and easy grower in our experience that produces well and if given the chance will produce many flushes in one season. Pods are a pointy pendant shaped and thin skinned and very crunchy when picked young. Pods ripen from a dark green through orange to a bright red. If left to ripen further, the red does intensify. At this stage pods are less crips, but much sweeter in taste. These chillies have a typically sweet red Habanero aroma and flavour and a heat that sits at the upper scale of Habaneros. These is a very hot variety of habanero. Fruity and sweet pods ideal for cooking and sauces. A very striking and productive plant!

* The container sizes above are sugested sizes that are reasonable and accessible for most growers (taking price, space, ecological/environmental impact into consideration). Not everyone can look at growing in huge containers. If you can justify growing in larger containers - there are no limitations on container sizes. You may however, rather look at growing in soil as an option in these instances. Using large amounts of potting medium will come with ecological/environmental impact, which you may wish to take into consideration.
