DouglahT X (Secluded)

DouglahT X Secluded Chilli Seeds. The DouglahT X (C. Chinense) is a beast of a hybrid variety! This variety must be considered unstable, but if you are looking for fire power - this variety must not be overlooked. Insanely hot is all we can say. Up there with the hottest for certain. This hybrid is a cross between the Trinidad 7Pot Douglah & Trinidad Scorpion ButchT. When you cross these two varieties you will end up with an absolute beast. We had a very consistent flow of pods that all had a very similar pheno. We can not say for sure how stable (or unstable) this variety is, but our pods were brown, massive, angry looking and just ooooozing capsaicin. Monstrous! These are two of the worlds hottest chillies and these pods are insanely hot. There endeth the sermon! We have warned you :) We have grown this variety in seclusion but at this stage are not certain as far as stability is concerned. We hope that we will get a better idea in our next season.

Did we mention hot? Good germination and growth. No hassle growth on this variety as is usually the case with hybrids. Massive pods that are undulated and full of placenta. A little deceptive from the outside as the skin is not very angry looking - which is a sure sign of superhot heat. These pods were smooth with do distinct tail to suggest the Scorpion power that lurks within.

Cut open you are greated with a very herbaceous smell. A subtle choclaty aroma on these... possibly cinnamon. Lots and lots and lots of capsaicin. Thinking of handling these pods - double gloving is compulsory! Again... these are insanely hot! A hazmat suit would probably not be out of place with these.

Heat is instant. Bitterness up front followed by the sweet. Slightly fruity with a definite herbaceousness. Sharp ulcertaing pain to the tongue and hot poker to the back of the throat kind of heat. These are not just a insanely hot pods but also unleash a very painful burn. One of the hottest pods we have tried. We would love to say tasty, but the taste buds really only last a few seconds. Expect to loose taste sensation for a few days. This burn has a really long reach too - 15 mins at least.

Use sparingly in food is all we can say. A little goes a long way. Call the fire truck while your at it.
