De Arbol
De Arbol chilli seeds. The De Arbol (C. Annuum) chilli or Chile De Arbol (as it is called in Spanish - tree chile) is a heirloom Mexican variety that is one of the goto Mexican chilli varieties for spicing things up. It is also called Rat's tail chile. A beautiful and hardy plant that is a big producer of cayenne type chillies that hand from the branches. The heat on these chillies is around 15,000 - 30,000 SHU, so a medium chilli in our books, but ideal for adding just that touch of spice to stews and soups. Pods dry well and produce a great lovely red chilli powder, but can also be used fresh in cooking.

* The container sizes above are sugested sizes that are reasonable and accessible for most growers (taking price, space, ecological/environmental impact into consideration). Not everyone can look at growing in huge containers. If you can justify growing in larger containers - there are no limitations on container sizes. You may however, rather look at growing in soil as an option in these instances. Using large amounts of potting medium will come with ecological/environmental impact, which you may wish to take into consideration.
