Cow's Horn chilli seeds. The Cow's Horn (C. Annuum) is named after the shape of the pods that resemble a cow's horn. Essentially very cayenne like, this variety will grow to roughly about 100cm producing a good yield of large caynne like pods that ripen from green to red. We understand that these chillies originate from Mexico, where the pods are used for sauces or dried in ristas and made into powder. These pods are not terribly hot, weighing in at around 3,000 - 5,000 SHU. Flavour is sweet and fruity. Pods do have a wrinkled appearance when fully ripe, so not a terribly attractive chilli - but the flavour is well worth the effort.
