Costeno Rojo chilli seeds. The Costeno Rojo is a classic Mexican heirloom chilli. This chilli comes from the coastal region in the state of Oaxaca. “Costeno” meaning coastal. Small to medium sized compact plants with furry foliage and branches. Pods ripen from green to Red and are a long pendant shape. If you love your Mexican cuisine, this is an essential chilli to have. Crisp and fruity with minerally undertones, this chilli is great when used fresh. It is also used dried, as are many Mexican chillies. Good medium heat with a decent lengthy burn.
