Candlelight Chilli Seeds
Candlelight Chilli Seeds. The Candlelight is an incredibly striking C. Annuum chilli plant. Good germination, followed by consistent growth to produce a compact, bushy, small to medium sized chilli plant. Pods are facing heaven, pointed, typically annuum. Pods grow in clusters that slowly mature from light green to orange and finally red. A good producer that is small enough to grow in pots on balconies. This chilli is stunning to say the least and ticks all the boxes in the aesthetic/ornamental department. The pods are edible but there is very little flavour, making this variety more of an ornamental variety than a chilli for culinary use. The pods do have a very subtle herbaceous flavour. No sweetness or fruity traits at all. The skin is quite leathery and pods contain lots of seeds, making these chillies quite unpalatable. Heat wise, these chillies have virtually no heat - at best 200 SHU. The burn from these chillies is at the back of the throat and incredibly subtle. What we can say, is that while this chilli in our opinion has little culinary appeal, it has huge ornamental qualities/appeal and a welcome addition to any garden, balcony or arrangement in pots.

* The container sizes above are sugested sizes that are reasonable and accessible for most growers (taking price, space, ecological/environmental impact into consideration). Not everyone can look at growing in huge containers. If you can justify growing in larger containers - there are no limitations on container sizes. You may however, rather look at growing in soil as an option in these instances. Using large amounts of potting medium will come with ecological/environmental impact, which you may wish to take into consideration.
