Bulgarian Carrot Chilli Seeds
Bulgarian Carrot chilli seeds. This C Annuum originates from Hungary. It is very popular among chilli growers due to its brilliant orange colour. A small to medium sized plant that produces a fair few annuum shaped pods that ripen from a grass green to an amazing orange colour when fully ripe. This variety obviously gets its name from its resemblance to carrots. It germinates and grows well, but in our experience can take its time to change colour. While this chilli has much ornamental appeal, it is no stranger in the kitchen. It has a delightful crunch and pleasant heat. A very fruity flavour to these chillies - although in our humble opinion, the skin on our pods was rather tough. Definitely a chilli that can be used fresh, used for cooked meals and also for pickling!

* The container sizes above are sugested sizes that are reasonable and accessible for most growers (taking price, space, ecological/environmental impact into consideration). Not everyone can look at growing in huge containers. If you can justify growing in larger containers - there are no limitations on container sizes. You may however, rather look at growing in soil as an option in these instances. Using large amounts of potting medium will come with ecological/environmental impact, which you may wish to take into consideration.
