Bishops Crown Secluded Chilli Seeds. The Bishops Crown (C. Baccatum) is in my opinion one of the funkiest looking chillies. This variety is best known as Bishops Crown, but does come by a plethora of different names. It is pretty much found grown around the globe and names can vary according to region. Balloon Pepper, Aji Flor, Campane, Christmas Belle, Joker's Hat, Bishop's Hat... and many more. It is not only beautiful in appearance, but it is also one of the best tasting fleshy chillies, with a really pleasant burn. The name Bishops Crown is derived from their unusual shape that looks like the hats Bishops and Cardinals used to wear in the medieval days. A must in any garden. Definitely one of our favourites. An absolute pleasure to grow. Large plants that yield plenty pods throughout the season. Water them lots to get big mild tasting pods and starve the plants from water and these will yield smaller but much hotter pods!
