Beni Market Chilli Seeds
Beni Market chilli seeds. The Beni Market comes from Bolivia (also called Aji Bolivia) and in our experience is very similar in appearance to the Cheiro Recife chillies with the exception that the tail is less pronounced. It is not unfeasible that the Beni Market is in fact a variation of the Cheiro Recife which come from Recife in Brazil and may have originated from this neighboring country. This plant can take time to get going and does only flourish later in the season (in our experience). Once established, this plant develops into a lovely compact bush with dense foliage (much like the bequinhos/cupetinhos/cheiro recife). Pods are droplet shaped with a less pointy point than the previously mentioned. This variety ripens from a light green to orange and finally red when fully ripe. The aroma from these is beautiful, sweet, citrus and very habanero/scotch bonnet like. Flavour is sweet and fruity with a solid burn that is front of the mouth and lingers nicely on the palette. A good producer, with hundreds of pods hanging from the plant. Very unusual and very tasty. Very well suited to growing in pots and on balconies. Would be great for general cooking, making salsas & sauces as well as really hot aromatic powders.

* The container sizes above are sugested sizes that are reasonable and accessible for most growers (taking price, space, ecological/environmental impact into consideration). Not everyone can look at growing in huge containers. If you can justify growing in larger containers - there are no limitations on container sizes. You may however, rather look at growing in soil as an option in these instances. Using large amounts of potting medium will come with ecological/environmental impact, which you may wish to take into consideration.
