Aribibi Gusano Chilli Seeds
Aribibi Gusano Chilli Seeds. The Aribibi Gusano (C. Chinense) is believed to originate from Aribibi, Bolivia. The name "Gusano" in Spanish meaning worm/maggot/caterpillar. These do indeed look like caterpillars hanging from the plants. While it is documented that this cultivar is indeed C. Chinense, this plant very much resembles and has all the traits of a C. Baccatum. Even the falvour profile of these pods is very much C. Baccatum. A lovely cultivar to grow. Plants are compact and bushy and produce an insane amount of caterpillar shaped pods that ripen from a light green to cream. This is a happy go lucky grower in our experience. Pods have a lovely fresh citrus flavour profile, with a good 10,000 - 25,000 SHU. Again, we find the flavour to be very reminiscent of baccatum varieties. A really unsual variety to grow and one that certainly has its place in the kitchen.

* The container sizes above are sugested sizes that are reasonable and accessible for most growers (taking price, space, ecological/environmental impact into consideration). Not everyone can look at growing in huge containers. If you can justify growing in larger containers - there are no limitations on container sizes. You may however, rather look at growing in soil as an option in these instances. Using large amounts of potting medium will come with ecological/environmental impact, which you may wish to take into consideration.
