Ancho Gigantea Chilli Seeds
Ancho Gigantea Chilli Seeds. The Ancho Gigantea (C. Annuum) is a cultivar of Ancho/Poblano. Plants grow to an average size of around 50-60cm and produce a good yield of Ancho/Poblano pods. In our experience as the name suggests pods are on the upper side of large for Poblanos. A lot does depend on growing conditions, but we had very large pods in our experience of growing this cultivar. Pods ripen from dark green to a beautiful red colour. Pods are large, crisp and have a lovely sweet, slightly smokey flavour. Ancho / Poblanos are well known for their use in Mexican cuisine, but well suited for most culinary dishes. In fact a super versatile chilli in the kitchen. Also great for stuffing. Well suited for drying or turning into flakes and powders. These chillies have a fair bite around 1000 - 3000 SHU. A must have in any grow.

* The container sizes above are sugested sizes that are reasonable and accessible for most growers (taking price, space, ecological/environmental impact into consideration). Not everyone can look at growing in huge containers. If you can justify growing in larger containers - there are no limitations on container sizes. You may however, rather look at growing in soil as an option in these instances. Using large amounts of potting medium will come with ecological/environmental impact, which you may wish to take into consideration.
