Aji Guyana Chilli Seeds
Aji Guyana Chilli Seeds. The Aji Guyana (C. Baccatum) is an all round wonderful Baccatum from Guyana, South America. Easy germination and happy no hassle growing in our experience.
Plants are very much Baccatum in essence. Less structured plants, but bushy plants with wispy branches. The plant is a generous producer and slightly twirly elongated pointed pendulum style pods ripen from a green to brilliant yellow. These do – in typical baccatum fashion – take a while to ripen. But the wait is well worth it!
Beautiful bright yellow pods that are ideal for drying (making into powders) or using fresh. Use these amazingly coloured chillies for fresh salsas, sauces or in your cooking.
Heat on these is somewhere between 8,000 and 15,000 SHU. This may vary depending on your growing conditions. Aroma is citrus and fresh. Pods are crisp, fresh and a clean sweet flavour. Crisp sweet apple flavours come to mind. There is a hint of citrus there too. A truly lovely tasting chilli.
This cultivar gets a delighted thumbs up from us :)

* The container sizes above are sugested sizes that are reasonable and accessible for most growers (taking price, space, ecological/environmental impact into consideration). Not everyone can look at growing in huge containers. If you can justify growing in larger containers - there are no limitations on container sizes. You may however, rather look at growing in soil as an option in these instances. Using large amounts of potting medium will come with ecological/environmental impact, which you may wish to take into consideration.
