Jalapeño Farmers Market Potato Chilli Seeds. The Jalapeño Farmers Market Potato (C. Annuum) is probably the oddest looking pod in the Jalapeño stable of chillies. This variety has medium to extreme corking on the outside. Some people say this is ugly, but we think these are truly beautiful. Corking is quite a common phenomina on Jalapeños, but this variety has quite a lot of corking that can in extreme cases look like the corking on the outside of a cantaloupe melon which gives these pods a dusty grown earthy colour like a potato. Cut these pods open and a beautiful dark red flessh is revealed. These pods are thick, plump and juicy and really quite sensational flavourwise. The flavour profile is rich Jalapeño flavour with a minerally earthiness. Really quite unusual. The corking is variable on these chillies.
