Thai Orange chilli seeds. The Thai Orange (C. Annuum) is a splendid variety of Thai Chilli. This is a large Thai pepper by comparison to the usual varieties. It is a super germinator and grower. This plant will grow to around 100cm - 120cm in our experience. A really fantastic annuum structure to this plant. A huge producer of lovely sizes (large) Thai chillies. Pods start out green and ripen to a magnificent golden orange colour - which is just fantastic for cooking. Obviously, like most chillies, these pods can also be picked when still green for a more vegetative flavour. When fully ripe, pods are sweet and fruity with a really pleasant heat to them. Thai chillies in general can be very hot and have a very up-front and firm burn - that if not used with discretion will ruin most meals. The burn from these chillies is very much front of the mouth and much milder. In the kitchen, these chillies are so versatile. Used fresh in cooking, in salsas or dried to make a wonderful yellow powder - these chillies are just awesome in our books. Production from these plants are huge with production of pods well into the cooler months of the season. This variety also seems to be tolerant to insects and infections. A really fantastic variety that will produce a smashing bumper crop.
