What we offer/sell
We offer/sell fresh, quality, open pollinated chilli seeds to the home grower for the purposes of growing chillies. Chilli sauces, salsas, powders and any other chilli related products as offered on the site, if and when available.
Who we sell to
Customers have to be 18 years of age or older. We do not sell our products to minors. Minors wishing to purchase from our site, will need to get their parents to make purchases. We cater for Home Growers. The chilli varieties we offer are rare and unusual and our seed availability is limited. As such, we do not cater for large Agricultural clients.
What we do not offer
We do not offer guidance on growing chillies. When you purchase chillies from us, we presume you know how to grow them. We will endeavor to provide links to useful sites that can assist you with any queries. But we do not offer assistance or guidance with germinating or growing the chillies. We do not have a destination shop and are an online shop only. We do not facillitate collections or private deliveries of orders. Lastly, we do not sell fresh chillies or plants.
What you get
All Chillihead seeds are sold in packets of no less than 10 chilli seeds. These seeds are harvested from mother plants as advertised. Our seeds are open polination seeds. This means that while we can guarantee that the seeds that you are purchasing from us are harvested from the mother plant (as advertised), we can not guarantee that your plant will be true to the mother plant. As most chillies are great hybridizers and given our open pollination growing, there is a slight chance that a hybridized species may manifest on growing from our seeds.
Chilli seeds are a living organic product. The success rate of seed germination and plant growth is subject to a number of contributing factors. The success rate of seed germination is dependant on your ability to providing these factors optimally. Our liability is to the value of the goods purchased and we will not take responsibility for the germination of the seeds, plant growth or the resultant crops.
Sauces, Dried Pods & Powders
All our products are locally manufactured and harvested from natural products. All sauces are hand crafted to perfection. We strive to include nothing but the best ingredients and wherever possible use only labelled organic ingredients. Our products are non-irradiated and contain no: artificial colourants, ingredients, flavour enhancers, thickeners, preservatives, gmo, msg or chemicals.
When you get it
Once payment has been received, orders are processed as quickly as possible. Weekend, Local and International Holiday orders may take 36 hours to process, but generally orders are dispatched to within 24 hours.
All South African shipments are sent via private Couriers. International orders are sent via PostNet, regular mail. Depending on where you are in the world and excluding any holidays, postal strikes or other delays, please allow for up to 14 days for your shipment to arrive.
The onus is on you, the client, to ensure that the information you provide us with is correct and current at the time of order. Failure to provide us with the correct personal information may result in orders not being processed or your order/shipment being lost. As we can only go on the information you provide us with, we will not take any responsibility for the loss of your order/shipment due to incorrect/incomplete information being provided. Any orders that are re-routed back to us will result in additional costs for handling and re-sending the parcel again.
Courier Delivery Restrictions in South Africa
Our couriers will only deliver to physical addresses. The couriers do not deliver to PO Boxes, mines, farms, power-stations, embassies and areas requiring special trips. Special trips may attract extra charges.
Lost, Damaged or Stolen Goods
Unfortunately we can not and will not take responsibility for goods being lost, damaged or stolen in the postal system unless you have chosen to insure your order/shipment on checkout.
In the event that you opted for Insurance on checkout, should your shipment be lost, damaged or stolen in the postal system, we will re-issue the order to you subject to our Claims protocol.
All orders sent are sent to the shipping/delivery address provided by the customer. Once the order has been shipped, we will endeavour to try to redirect shipments to another address if requested timeously by the customer, but this can not be guaranteed. We do not guarantee that this can be done and this may not be possible without incurring additional charges by the courier company.
In situations where customers have contacted the couriers directly to alter shipping addresses, Chillihead will not take any responsibility what so ever for non deliver of good, lost goods, stolen goods or the untimeous delivery of goods to the new address provided by the customer
Import laws/regulations and customs vary from country to country. There are countries with import restrictions on seeds. And customers requesting us to send their orders/shipments to such a country will most likely have these goods confiscated, destroyed and/or face a fine/penalties. The onus is up to you, the purchaser, to check that the Import laws regulating the import of goods into your country permit the importation of seeds. By ordering seeds from us, we take it that you have checked these import laws in your country with your customs authorities and that the importation of seeds into your country is permissible. We will not take any responsibility for goods being confiscated, destroyed or the cost of any fines or penalties arising as a result of your order/shipment being a restricted/prohibited product in your country.
Your purchase price does not include any Customs Duties that may be applicable on your order/shipment. Duties vary from country to country and the onus is on you, the purchaser, to check with your countries Customs if any duties are payable on your order/shipment. Any and all Customs/Duties/Taxes on your order/shipment are the purchaser's responsibility to pay.
In events where customers have incorrectly provided contact information, there may be an additional handling charge and/or courier charge.
All courses taking place are subject to minimum numbers and participation. We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event if numbers and participation are insufficient. All cancellations must be made within 7 days from booking for a full refund. All booking cancelled after 7 days from making the booking will only be refunded 50% of the payment. Regretfully no refunds for cancellation 48 hours before the event. Cancellation refunds will be for booking fee only and not negotiable for/against course materials.
