Golden Cayenne chilli seeds. The Golden Cayenne (C. Annuum) is a fantastic variation of a timeless classic - the red Caynne. These big growers see plants reach a good 60 - 80cm in height. Good yield of Golden yellow pods that ripen from green to a rich yellow once fully ripened. The aroma on these is unmistakably cayenne. Flavour is sweet and slightly less fruity than the red version. These have a good lingering burn and heat is very hot - a good 60,000 - 90,000 SHU. These chillies would be great for sauces, especially sauces that are made with fruit - the yellow colour of these pods would not interfere with the colouring of your yellow/orange fruit pulp. These are obviously great for cooking and can also be used as accents in fresh food. But these pods also dry really well and would be ideal for making a super yellow chilli powder. A lovely variation on a chilli classic!
