Bola (Cascabelle) chilli seeds. The Bola (C. Annuum) is also known as Cascabelle chilli. "Bola" meaning ball/bell in spanish. This chilli is native to Mexico, where it also goes by the name of "rattle" due to the sound that the dried pods make when shaken. These plants grow well and produce early on in the season, although pods do take some time to fully ripen. This chilli is a good producer with lots of gold ball sized, heart shaped chillies that ripen from a dark green to a dark red. As mentioned, these chillies are primarily dried and used to make fantastic tasty chilli powders and flakes that can be used in stews and soups - among other things.
